Whatever happens between now and November 2008, Barrack Obama will continue to find himself at crossroads. Currently, he finds himself in a very akward position; on the one hand is his genuine ambition to bridge the gap between the USA and the rest of the world on issues such as relations with the so called "axis of evil" as well as other global issues that America has not been so open about; on the other hand is the ever-present need to appease an American voting public that has been held prisoner by decades of negative campaigning.
For so many years, a large section of the American public has been deprived of the real picture beyond their borders through selective media coverage and propagandist agendas that only serve to spread fear in them. That Barrack's task is onerous is obvious to everyone; he has to rid himself of the tag of a non-starter when it comes to the White House; he has to overcome the sideshows created by his opponents about trivial issues such as "bitterness" and "elitisim". He has to continue SPREADING his message of hope and change instead of getting distracted by such side shows.

At the end of the day, when the working class of America thinks about it, they are indeed "bitter"; bitter that they have to think about their security all the time; bitter that they are continuously being burdened by the taxman; bitter that the unemployment gap continues to widen; bitter that politicians continue to renege on their election pledges with impunity.
No matter what Obama says, or McCain or anybody else. No matter how Fox News interprets Obama's statements, the fact in those statements cannot be denied; it is time Americans opened their eyes...
